The Story Behind Little Bear Pet Treats

The Story Behind Little Bear Pet Treats

Happy Human <-----> Happy Pet

Hello out there!
I’m Bernice, founder of Little Bear Pet Treats.

When I first started Little Bear Pet Treats, I wasn't sure what I was doing. All I knew was that I loved my pets and wanted the best for them. I carefully examined the ingredients in my pets' food and decided to create a healthier version of their favourite treat, which happened to be peanut butter flavour. I started with a wholemeal-based biscuit, but later transitioned to a grain-free recipe, as it is healthier and low in fat.

What I ended up with was our signature Grain-free Biscuits and Waffles. We found that they are not only a healthy treat (who knew there was such a thing?!), but also excellent for pets with sensitive tummies, skin allergies, elderly dogs and puppies. Along with being grain-fee, we add in our homemade bone broth, fresh eggs (not powdered) and preservative-free coconut. So simple right? This combination made for a delicious snack that my pups couldn’t resist!

I named my business after the love of my life—Rocky (a Rottweiler x Bull Mastif) (shhh, don’t tell my family). When Rocky first joined us as a rescue, all my extended family and friends remarked that he looked like a little bear. He truly is the love of our lives. Then our second rescue, Hazel, came into our home. Now, with four humans, two cats, and two dogs, our house is a loving and crazy environment.

In line with our commitment to health, we have also developed our own Paw Balm. LBPT Paw Balm is effective for skin that is inflamed from allergies, cuts, abrasions, postoperative recovery, paw pads, crusty noses, eyelids surrounding areas. Not only is our paw balm fantastic for pets and free from toxic ingredients, making it safe for them to lick, but it is also safe for the humans in the family. We sell this product to not just dogs, but to gardeners, butchers, tradespeople, kitchen staff, small children with mild skin conditions and anyone who suffers from dry skin.

Treats are exactly that—a treat! Healthier treats are even better, including skincare care. While our treats are not meant to replace meals, they can be a valuable addition to your pet's daily nutrition. If you haven’t already, jump online, try out our treats and let us know what your furry friend thinks—we’d love to hear from you!

If you have any questions about any of the products, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Just keep in mind that if your pet has any dietary restrictions, consult your veterinarian first.

Warmly,

Bernice
